International Campus Kerkrade
UNIES Education Group utilize the premises of historic Abbey of Rolduc in Kerkrade in the Netherlands. The Abbey complex has class rooms for lecturing with capacities up to 450 persons. The campus also offers accommodation and catering as well as sports facilities, and the famous Rococo library at Rolduc can be visited for scientific research. Since 2007 we are offering higher education at this international campus location.
With its comprehensive range of facilities, Rolduc provides an inspiring backdrop for studies. The Abbey complex has 16 rooms for lecturing with capacities varying from 10 to 450 persons. Complete room and board services for students are also available.
Seminar rooms are equipped with modern technique but also offer their own special charm, due to the historical ambience. The original abbey rooms have been completely renovated and adapted to suit modern times while paying due respect to tradition. State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and other functional aids, supporting studies, are readily available.
The location´s surrounding offers the perfect study environment, but hosts its administrative offices as well. A hallmark of the education programmes is the emphasis on the relational and collaborative nature of learning. Thus, UNIES cultivates a campus based learning ethos that produces a highly stimulating academic learning experience in addition to the manifold educational methodological approaches.
Moreover, the famous Rococo library at Rolduc is richly decorated and has an important collection of books. The library can be visited and used for scientific research. Request please made at the Grand Seminar Rolduc. The opening hours are from Monday to Friday: from 13:00 - 16:30. During these times it is possible to make use of the facilities that the library offers.
The campus also offers accommodation and catering as well as sports facilities, and car-parking is available free of charge. The Campus is nearby the centre of Kerkrade, a small typically dutch village located in middle of the region “Euregio” between the border of Germany and Netherlands. The campus is easily accessible from german, dutch and belgium cities like Aachen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Liège, Maastricht and Venlo.
