The Research Centre for International Management, Trade and Commerce
The Research Centre for International Management, Trade and Commerce is an official part of UNIES Education Group. The Scientific Committee aims to bridge academic and professional knowledge on international management and trade. It embraces a multi-disciplinary approach to research and bridges across subject groups at UNIES and its Partner Universities on the one hand and with the UNIES StadMind Foundation as the Research Centre of expertise on Africa, and on competitiveness studies on the other hand.
UNIES Research Centre´s key themes are Human Resources Management, Strategy and Operations, Leadership, Small and Middle Size Enterprises and Entrepreneurship and competitiveness in national and international markets.

The Research Centre for Social Science and Education
The Centre for Research in Social Sciences, with the specializiation in Adult- and Early Childhood Education and Psychology was established by Prof. Dr. Malte Mienert, formerly Ordinarius at the University of Bremen (Germany).
As a centre of excellence for research in applied psychology and education/pedagogics, the Scientific Committee particularly focuses on education, health, well-being and social issues in families, adolescence and childhood. Also, the council provides research advice and consultancy, in partnership with external organisations in public and private sectors, including evaluations, staff development, training and advice on funding for research and development.
Our research draws on a range of theoretical and methodological perspectives, with no particular orthodoxy, but with common concerns regarding education and social justice, a commitment to criticality and a desire to drive methodological innovation. Key themes that are explored in our work include:
- Learning, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment
- Children’s lives, perspectives and experiences
- Professionalism and professional knowledge

Dr. Ralf Held, PhD

Co-Founder of the German Post Merger Integration Association.
Dr. Malte Mienert, PhD
Formerly Professor at the Institute of Psychology and Transfer INPUT, University of Bremen, Dipl. Psych. (University Berlin), Dr. rer.nat. (Humboldt-University of Berlin), Developmental and Educational Psychologist, Member of the DGPs (German Scientific Society of Psychology), Visiting Fellow at the University of London, Institute of Education in 2009, Holder of the Berninghausen Award for teaching excellence and innovation. Special fields of interest: Development of Children and Adolescents, Development of Values and Identity, Early Childhood Learning and Education, Professional Role of Pedagogs, Traffic Psychology, Author of several books on Developmental and Educational Psychology.
Dr. Robert Goedegebuure, PhD
He holds a PhD in International Business from the Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University, the Netherlands). He has worked in marketing research, (official) statistics. He has specialized in the impact of internationalization on firm strategies and industrial policy. He has performed research projects for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and European and international institutions. In addition he has authored numerous courses in marketing and marketing research.
